Sunday i watched Alpenrose Challenge at the Alpenrose Velodrome in Portland. It was super bright and hot and I didn't have my 200mm lens but I was able to snap a couple shots. It was great to see Olympic and professional level racers compete. The strategy involved in these races put me on the edge of my seat.

Last night i had to take a break from editing photos so i took a quick ride around the water front with Jerry. I snapped a few photos of my bike with the new tri-spoke. I bought it last week from a guy i work with who had it laying around his garage. So far i really like it.

Dear Landlord played two shows in Portland this weekend. They are a really good Power Pop band from the mid-west and have a new Record out on No Idea Records. My friend Adam plays bass in this band. A long time ago we played in a band together while living in a 2-bedroom apartment with 6 people in Wilmington Delaware. Not the greatest circumstances but we had some great times and we got to travel around the country a little bit. I only see Adam now when he tours through Portland but when we do get a chance to hang out it's great to spend some time over a few beers catching up and getting nostalgic over stories from the past. I highly suggest you check out both of his bands The Copyrights and Dear Landlord.

Colin has been hard at work. After moving to California he has released a new book called Fault Lines. Once again he has produced a great piece of art and writing. You can download a free copy or buy it here

In addition to his book he has also added a section of photographs taken with a holga on his website. Great stuff. check that out here

My friend Mac got married this weekend on Mt Tabor in Portland. Between the wedding festivities and the 4th of July and Colin being here it ended up to be quite a weekend. Here are some random photos from this weekend.

Last night after work Jerry, Drew, and myself spent a few hours at Crema hanging all the pieces for my show. After a few hours of arranging and re-arranging the room over and over we finished and headed out for vegan corndogs and PBRs at the Hungry Tiger, Too. I'm super stoked on how everything looks and even more stoked that i can stop stresssing out now that it's all up.
Jerry snapped this pic on his phone.
